Awards & Judging criteria

The Corporate Entrepreneur Awards recognise game changing innovation and entrepreneurship from within large companies. The corporate entrepreneur is often an unsung hero in the business and the corporate entrepreneur awards provide a much deserved platform for celebrating the hard work individuals and teams have done to deliver fundamental business and customer changes, often against all odds. The award categories below represent three important facets of successful entrepreneurship:

Best new product or service line -” celebrates the achievements of individuals or teams that have identified a market opportunity or customer need and have enhanced their existing offering, and as a result have raised the industry standard and heightened consumer expectations.
The winners of this award will have evidenced:

  • A clear opportunity or customer problem that has led to the product or service
  • The product or service line produced will have clearly addressed this opportunity or problem.
  • The success of this product or service line will have raised the industry standard and consumer expectations leading to a considerable impact on the market
Best new corporate venture -”” recognises the achievements of an individual or team that have delivered a new market or business offering that represents significant differentiation of and addition to the core business of the organisation, and which has led to considerable market impact.
The winners of this award will have delivered:

  • A step change in the core business of a large organisation
  • A sizeable impact on the market
  • Evidence of considerable entrepreneurship in overcoming the challenges associated with a change in strategic direction within
    the organisation
Best new product or service evidencing the Future is Here -”” is a new award for 2013, recognising a team or individual who have delivered a truly futuristic new market or business offering that represents significant leap forward for the core business of the organisation.
The winners of this award will have evidenced:

  • A step change in the core business of a large organisation
  • Use of cutting edge technology in the delivery of the service or product
  • Evidence of this product or service line raising the industry standard and customer expectation of the art of the possible

We have built our judging panel to represent different angles of corporate entrepreneurship to provide a balanced and comprehensive frame of reference for the evaluation process.
